I picked this special gift,
Just to let you know,
I’m grateful for your talent,
With helping me to grow,
Thank you for your empathy,
In my need you were there,

Telling me you can do it,
Teaching me how to care.

This is a teacher retirement poem.

The day is done; the weary day of thought and toil is past,
Soft falls the twilight cool and gray on the tired earth at last,
By wisest teachers wearied, by gentlest friends oppressed,
In thee alone, the soul, outworn, refreshment finds, and rest.

- Eliza Scudder, (c) 2008 http://www.acethecset.com/blog1/

Here is a short poem of wisdom for teachers.

If I am right your grace impart
Still in the right to stay,
If I am wrong, O, teach my heart
To find that better way!

- Alexander Pope, (c) 2008 http://www.acethecset.com/blog1/

Here is a short teacher appreciation poem.

To you who ever teach the wise,
And knowledge on them pour,
The inspiration of your gifts,
The gladness of your lore.
All praise to thee,
