Teachers Resume Training and Education
Your resume should be one page. If you are short on space, you can combine both the “training” and “education” sections into just a “education” section. Often new teachers have too much room because the “professional background” section is small, in this case keep both “training” and “education” sections.
Only list training and education that is in some way relevant to your employment as a teacher.
Teachers Resume Cover letter
Always send your resume with a cover letter. Your cover letter has one purpose only, to get the hiring manager to read your resume.
Your cover letter needs to have your own contact details, the name and address of the person you’re writing to, the date, and the job reference number (if there is one). If you do not know the name of the person to address your letter to, find out. The job posting should have a contact name, if it does not, call the receptionist at the school and get the person’s name and make sure to ask how it is spelled! The last thing you want to do is to spell the hiring manager’s name wrong.
In the first paragraph, mention that you are enclosing your resume or an application form if that is what the school uses. This will make you appear well organized.
