Studying is not difficult, and passing the CSET is not difficult either. It’s all a matter of how much effort and work you are willing to put in.

Like anything in life that is worth having, doing work is required. Look at it this way, the more you are willing to sacrifice now in terms of studying, the more it will pay off in the future as you become a certified teacher. Very few people are just lucky and do not really have to work that hard.

There is a lot of variance when it comes to studying and how to study properly. Different people learn in different ways, what I am going to address here is basically some tips on how to study effectively for the CSET.

Study everyday. Do not skip a day or two, then spend double the time on day 3 thinking you have to catch up. Research has shown that a little bit each and everyday is better than alot at once and then skipping days.

Find out what works for you and stick with it. There are crosswords, matching exercises, chronology exercises, flash card exercises, and quizzes. These different exercises were created for all types of learners. Find out which exercises allow you to best memorize the information. When you discover which exercises work best for you, start creating these exercises on your own from the materials you are studying. Making practice exercises is one of the best things you can do.

Study in a quiet place without many distractions. It helps you with concentration and the ability to immerse yourself in your studies.

Always keep in mind that you are not studying because you are being forced to take the CSET, but rather for your own good in the future: your own career as a teacher. Develop the right attitude before you start a study session to prevent distractions from running through your mind. Keep your mind empty of concerns and totally focused.

If you can follow these tips on how to study for the CSET, your chances of passing the CSET will go up.

How would you like to memorize 80 pages of CSET study material just by looking at it once? Sten M. Andersen, memory savvy B.Sc. in Cognitive Psychology, writes, “How would you like to burn 60-70 pages of a book into your memory after studying it once - memorize an entire magazine at a single reading!

Imagine walking into a room long enough to take just one glance around. Walking out. And then making everyone’s head turn when you are able to… recite each and every single object in sight. Yes, every single object.

The truth is virtually anyone can train their mind to do the same thing.

You can (at any age) perform feats of memory that would seem like magic to most untrained onlookers. In fact, one French Magician used his trained memory to do just that. But it’s not magic and you don’t have to be special. Or even considered “smart.” Most anyone can train their brain to recall large amounts of information through pure brain power.

Some people try to memorize as many mnemonic devices and acronyms as they can. But memorizing words to help you remember other words DOES NOT improve your memory.

After developing and training your memory for just a short while, you’ll start to notice that you can put facts away with less and less effort . The more you practice, the more you’ll be able to recall (and the more you will impress those around you).

If you want to train your mind to do seemingly impossible feats, then let me tell you about the book that spills the beans on super recall.”
