Qualifications Needed To Teach In Middle Schools and High Schools
Filed Under California Teacher Credentialing | Leave a Comment
I am often asked what are the qualifications required to teach in middle schools and high schools.
Let us take John Doe as an example who is in his post graduate work in Science. If he passes the CSET, what other training is necessary in order for him to become a teacher?
Whether you live in California and have to pass the CSET, or another state like Texas, all states require the following items for a teaching credential: Subject matter verification (like the CSET in California), student teaching from an approved program, a credential program like university classes on teaching methods and curriculum, and various other tests like the CBEST.
