1. First, divide the numerator (the 5) by the denominator (the 2). This will give you 2, with a remainder of 1. The mixed number can be created by using the 2 as the whole number, the 1 as the numerator and the 2 as the denominator. The answer is 2 1/2
2. First, divide the numerator (the 8 ) by the denominator (the 5). This will give you 1, with a remainder of 3. The mixed number can be created by using the 1 as the whole number, the 3 as the numerator and the 5 as the denominator. The answer is 1 3/5
3. First, divide the numerator (the 17) by the denominator (the 11). This will give you 1, with a remainder of 6. The mixed number can be created by using the 1 as the whole number, the 6 as the numerator and the 11 as the denominator. The answer is 1 6/11
4. First, divide the numerator (the 14) by the denominator (the 3). This will give you 4, with a remainder of 2. The mixed number can be created by using the 4 as the whole number, the 2 as the numerator and the 3 as the denominator. The answer is 4 2/3
5. Multiply the 8 (the denominator), and the 3 (the whole number). To this product, add the 1 (the numerator)
giving 25, to form the new numerator, and use the 8 as the new denominator. The answer is 25/8
6. Multiply the 7 (the denominator), and the 12 (the whole number). To this product, add the 3 (the numerator) giving 87, to form the new numerator, and use the 7 as the new denominator. The answer is 87/7
7. Multiply the 3 (the denominator), and the 4 (the whole number). To this product, add the 2 (the numerator) giving 14, to form the new numerator, and use the 3 as the new denominator. The answer is 14/3
8. 75%, 9. 18.75%, 10. 40%, 11. 37.5%, 12. 0.72, 13. 0.3, 14. 0.125, 15. 0.1875
