An appositive can interrupt a sentence.

Example:

George, a hot-tempered worker, threw down his hammer and stormed out.

An appositive can end a sentence.

Example:

Upset at the boss, the workers cheered George, a hot-tempered worker who threw down his hammer and stormed out.

Simple Sentence

A simple sentence, also called an independent clause, contains a subject and a verb, and it expresses a complete thought.

Examples:

John and Bill play chess every afternoon.

The subject is “John” and “Bill”. The verb is “play”.

Some students like to study at night.

The subject is “students”. The verb is “like”.

Alexa goes to the library and studies every day.

The subject is “Alexa”. The verbs are “goes” and “studies”.
